Stillmeadow Farm is a classic mixed farm, raising sheep, hogs and chickens and producing hay, holly and several varieties of grain. Our farm is based from our home, on Stillmeadow Rd, in Metchosin, but we lease fields and pasture throughout the community.

We strive to raise healthy livestock and crops in an environmentally sustainable manner. Our animals are treated well—lots of green grass for sheep, dirt for pigs to root in, and fresh air and outside access for our chickens. We use manures to build soil fertility, and we rotate crops to prevent disease. We continually experiment with new farming methods with the goal of producing more and better food, always in harmony with nature.

We believe in the role agriculture has in healthy communities, and host many tours for schools and groups. It is a highlight to watch children (okay, adults too!) interact with the pigs and sheep.
